workshop information

This workshop will show you how to let the paint do the work! 

We will be using techniques that let the paint flow and blend freely, creating wonderful effects. We will also be looking at lifting, masking and negative painting methods. The aim is to help you relax and take joy in using these transparent colours. 

Suitable for beginners and experienced artists. Accompanied children welcome. 

Materials provided but you are welcome to bring your own. 


About your tutor

Claire Bartlett

Claire is a local  mixed media artist.. She took a BA(Hons) in Creative Art at Newcastle before moving to Southend in the mid `90s. She has run workshops and classes for many years, exhibited locally, taken part in art trails and also attends local art and craft fairs.
