Workshop information

Join our cosy embroidery evening workshop with our lovely tutor Jane.

Create a unique embroidery hoop inspired by the classic film 'Up'. Use buttons, felt and wooden decorations with simple stitches to craft a simple, yet effective, cute scene. 

This is a beginner level class but all are welcome. Class includes a delicious slice of homemade cake and hot drink from Cafe98.


About your tutor

Jane Piper

Having rekindled her love of Embroidery and Crochet during lockdown she has found a new passion for teaching and sharing her love of these textile crafts. Jane particularly likes creating embroidery hoop art and amigurumi crochet – the Japanese art of crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures.

Also, having tried her hand at Origami during lockdown she has found a new mindfulness in folding pieces of paper into miniature works of art! Jane wants to spread this mindfulness technique by sharing her love of Origami and helping others create their own mini masterpieces.

Jane Piper is a part-time librarian with a passion for crafts and wants to teach them to you!
