Throughout this course, you will be introduced to the fundamental concepts and techniques of photography. From understanding exposure and composition to mastering lighting and focus, you will learn how to create visually compelling photographs that effectively convey your artistic vision.

Key topics covered in this course include:

1.     Camera Basics: Familiarising yourself with the different components and functions of a digital camera. Understanding the relationship between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings. Exploring various shooting modes to achieve desired effects.

2.     Composition and Framing: Learning the principles of composition to create visually balanced and engaging photographs. Understanding the rule of thirds, leading lines, and other composition techniques. Experimenting with different perspectives to add depth and interest to your images.

3.     Lighting and Exposure: Utilising natural and artificial light to enhance your photographs. Mastering exposure settings to achieve proper brightness and contrast.

4.     Focus and Depth of Field: Understanding the concept of depth of field and how it affects the overall look of your photographs. Learning autofocus techniques and manual focusing for precise control. Exploring techniques to create selective focus and achieve different depths of field.

By the end of this course, you will have gained a foundation in photography, enabling you to confidently capture stunning images and express your creativity. 

What will you need to provide?

·       A Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR), Mirrorless, Bridge, Advanced Compact or Smartphone Camera.

·       Camera manual.

·       Notebook and pen/pencil
