 r experienced instructor\, Sharon. You will be guided on how to design you
 r composition\, colour mixing\, understanding which colours work well toge
 ther and the different methods on applying acrylic to your piece. This cla
 ss also includes a delicious slice of homemade cake and hot drink. About y
 our tutor Sharon Henson Graduating with a first class BA Hons degree in gr
 aphic design from St Martins School of Art I had a successful design caree
 r for 15 years. After having my children I found myself being drawn back t
 o painting. Then followed a career change to decorating and teaching art. 
 I try and find as much time to paint\, in oil and acrylic\, especially en 
 plein air – my passion. Hot\, cold\, rain or shine you are continually c
 hallenged to interpret the scene before you\, to capture ‘a sense of pla
 ce’ – the mood and the changing light. As a member of Leigh Art Trail 
 I enjoy exhibiting locally as a home venue and meeting enthusiastic 'trail
 ers'. Also a member of Southend Art Club I enjoy exhibiting in their regul
 ar shows. My work has been accepted and exhibited in the Essex Open.
