me and join Judy and other young like-minded artists at our weekly art hub
. Judy will help you focus on improving your practice and encourage you to
try different mediums including pencils\, charcoal\, ink and paint\, thro
ugh exploration of famous artist’s work. Previous Next About your tutor
Judy Goring I have been drawing and making for as long as I can remember\,
which led me to a career in Graphic Design and becoming a teacher of Art
and Textiles in secondary schools. I am now also trained to work with chil
dren and young people with visual impairment (QTVI) which has given me a g
reater appreciation of being fully sighted myself\, with a little help! I
have led private Art and Craft workshops for ten years (since reducing to
part time in schools) which has allowed me to experiment and play with a m
yriad of wonderful materials\, then teach others how to use them! For the
last couple of years\, I have had the privilege of leading workshops at Ha
vens Hospice and at Create 98\, doing a variety of creative activities wit
h many varied groups. Currently my regular commitment is to the midweek Ar
t Hub\, with a great group of 11-16 year olds. My aim is to show each pers
on (whatever age) how to use a variety of 2D and 3D materials\, to learn n
ew skills and to create something individual to them. Once you start on th
e experimental journey\, it can take you anywhere and it never gets boring
!
