 artists Berthe Morisot and Mary Cassatt. Suitable for all abilities\, from
  the new student to the practising artist\, all are welcome. Enter an envi
 ronment where you can experience painting for the first time or develop sk
 ills you may already have learnt. About your tutor Sharon Henson Graduatin
 g with a first class BA Hons degree in graphic design from St Martins Scho
 ol of Art I had a successful design career for 15 years. After having my c
 hildren I found myself being drawn back to painting. Then followed a caree
 r change to decorating and teaching art. I try and find as much time to pa
 int\, in oil and acrylic\, especially en plein air – my passion. Hot\, c
 old\, rain or shine you are continually challenged to interpret the scene 
 before you\, to capture ‘a sense of place’ – the mood and the changi
 ng light. As a member of Leigh Art Trail I enjoy exhibiting locally as a h
 ome venue and meeting enthusiastic 'trailers'. Also a member of Southend A
 rt Club I enjoy exhibiting in their regular shows. My work has been accept
 ed and exhibited in the Essex Open.
