temporary jeweller with over 16 years of experience in the jewellery indus
try. With a BA in Metalwork & Silversmithing from UAL in 2006 I soon after
stepped into making contemporary jewellery after meeting and working with
local jeweller Lisa Castle - Castle Collection. Metal Lust describes the
jewellery I love to make without putting boundaries on my creativity. My j
ewellery collections are an emporium of treasures exploring iconic themes
of imagery like lightening bolts and eyes and making everyday objects into
precious keepsakes. I love the physical processes of silversmithing\; ham
mering down wire into geometric forms\, embossing intricate textures and s
etting semi-precious stones. I’m continually honing my skills and learni
ng new techniques. I began teaching in 2019 at Castle Collection. I love t
o share my knowledge and It’s a great moment when you unlock the secret
of how something is made. Making jewellery is creatively satisfying and ca
n also be a great mindful practice. In our classes I’m here guide studen
ts at each stage\; showing them how to use tools correctly and build on th
eir skill set - it’s a very accessible fun thing to do!
